A single string acts as a container of devices, which helps you separate portions of your network for independent analysis.
This is very helpful when dealing with Quality of Service (QoS) claims, since you can quickly jump to view the details of a single string, such as bandwidth consumption, number of offline devices, their geolocation and present anomalies.
From the anomaly list, you can then access a device's profile page, this is useful to inspect a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE).
Creating your first string
Head over to the strings page by clicking on the Strings symbol
2. Once in the Strings page, you will see a list of existing strings (if any), and a map. Hovering over an existing Strings will focus the map on the location of the devices in that string. Click on Add String to start creating a new one.
3. You will now see the Strings creation overlay screen. Here you can select devices from the list, search for them, or just draw a shape in the map to do simple multiple selection, as the video shows. Don't forget to give the string a name, and to click on Done, to finish. You will be shown the selected devices and asked to confirm the creation of the new string.
Click on Confirm, and you will see the newly-created string on the list. Clicking on it will take you to the Details Page for that string.
